Clinical Applications of Contemporary Motor and Neural Plasticity Theories
Recorded 2 Hour Webinar - Available for On-Demand Streaming
Description: This presentation reviews current theories for motor control, motor development, and neuroplasticity. Concerns and red flags for atypical development will be discussed. Both behavioral signals/concepts that impact neuroplasticity will be highlighted with applications to clinical practice explored. A case presentation will be used to help to understand theories and how one can put into practice.
Objectives: Participants will be able to:
- Review Motor Theories - Dynamic Systems Theories and NGST
- Identify themes for motor development and motor learning to apply to clinical practice
- Define neural plasticity and identify 6 behavior signals that enhance neural plasticity
- Give examples of how they might apply information to their clinical practice
