Car Seat Check-Ups at Mary Bridge

The Center for Childhood Safety offers two convenient ways for you to learn how to use your car seat correctly – virtual or in person.

Both are educational visits; we do not install your car seat for you. You will work closely with one of our certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) who will teach you how to adjust your car seat’s harness system and install it in your vehicle. Your visit will end with a properly installed car seat and the confidence that comes from doing it on your own.

  • Virtual Car Seat Check: A one-on-one video chat with an experienced CPST. This is our most flexible scheduling option and can be done from the comfort and safety of home. Complete this request form and email it to [email protected] to request a virtual appointment. With the extra information you provide on the form, we can best prepare to help you.
  • In-Person Car Seat Check: A one-on-one meet up with an experienced CPST, outside our office on MultiCare’s Tacoma campus. This service has limited availability, click here to view and register for an available appointment. Infection control protocols will be followed. Availability of in-person may change over time, based on COVID-19 statistics in Pierce County.

"Absolutely amazing! My husband and I felt so comfortable asking questions and felt so reassured after our call. She was so incredibly knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to. Thank you so much!"
