At Mary Bridge, we know that kids flourish when they live in healthy, safe and nurturing communities. That’s why our commitment to caring for the special needs of children extends beyond the confines of our hospital and clinics. We offer an array of programs to assist families and promote wellness, all free of charge:
BRIDGES: A Center for Grieving Children - Supports families with children between the ages of 4 and 18 who are coping with the death or serious illness of a loved one.
Center for Childhood Safety - Provides information about how to prevent fatal childhood injuries. Services include car seat inspections, life jackets for loan and safety education.
Child Abuse Intervention Department - Strengthens families to prevent abuse and supports victims when abuse is discovered. Services include medical treatment, forensic exams, health-care referrals and family advocacy.
Clean Air for Kids Program - Clean Air for Kids (CAFK) is a free asthma and allergy management program available to children and families throughout Puget Sound.
Health Education Supplies - The Community Services office at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital has a variety of health promotion displays and equipment for community events. Mobile Immunization Clinic - Provides free child immunizations on a walk-in basis.
Ready, Set, Go! 5210 - Teaches families how to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle where they live, learn, work and play.
Weight and Wellness - The Mary Bridge Pediatric Weight and Wellness Program for ages 2-17 provides access to health care professionals who have expertise in helping families make healthy changes.
WIC Nutrition Services - Provides women, infants and children with monthly checks for nutritious foods along with other services, such as breastfeeding support and health-care referrals.
