Endocrinology, Diabetes and Gender Health
Mary Bridge Children's Endocrinology offers comprehensive, compassionate care for children with diabetes or other endocrine and metabolic disorders, as well as care and support for children and adolescents related to their gender health.
Our multidisciplinary team of highly trained pediatric professionals includes endocrinologists, social workers and certified diabetes educators (nurses and dietitians).
How We Help
Mary Bridge Children's Endocrinology diagnoses and treats infants, children and adolescents with endocrine and metabolic disorders or concerns including:
- Adrenal gland, parathyroid gland, pituitary gland and thyroid gland disorders
- Delayed or advanced growth
- Gender health and transgender care
- Metabolic disorders
- Puberty disorders
- Type 1 diabetes (formerly called Juvenile Diabetes)
- Type 2 diabetes
We also offer diabetes education for children and their families from certified diabetes educators, who specialize in pediatrics. We provide both inpatient and outpatient education programs.
Our diabetes education program includes:
- Individualized education about diabetes self-management
- Individualized education about Insulin pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)/ Sensor

Specialty Care Close to Home
In addition to the services offered at our main clinic location in Tacoma, our team makes regular visits to the Mary Bridge Children's regional specialty clinics in Covington, Federal Way, Olympia, Puyallup and Silverdale, so that children can get outpatient care closer to home.
